Saudi Arabia plans to build 60 new hotels to host the leaders of the G20 summit, slated to occur in Riyadh at the end of 2020, at which finance officials are due to discuss the global economy, The New Khalij reported on Friday.

Fahd Tunis, a consultant for the Royal Court, informed Bloomberg that eight of these hotels will be ready ahead of the arrival of the G20 leaders.

He also noted that these hotels will add around 1,000 new hotel units to the 17,000 already existing across the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia is currently suffering severe economic crises after the commencement of the era of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
